Understanding teeth whitening
Tooth whitening, also called bleaching, is any process that makes enamel look lighter. It is a cosmetic treatment. It will not repair decay, worn edges, or old fillings that no longer match.
A consultation comes first. Staining from coffee, tea, or tobacco behaves differently from colour inside the tooth. The clinic will say whether whitening is appropriate, or whether a veneer or replacement filling is the more honest option.
